Supernatural

So I haven't written much in the last few days, mostly because, well, there is nothing interesting much on tv. There was the start of the last season of Da Vinci's demons, and I kinda was planning to write about that, but the first episode was so disappointing that I didn't bother. I haven't watched the rest yet though, so I might still change my mind.
And then the second reason why I haven't been writing, I was able to get my hands on the first 9 seasons of Keeping up with the Kardashians. I never watched that before, but with the whole Bruce going to Caithe debate I wanted to try and figure out if there were signs before. I'm now at season 7.
And still haven't picked up on the signs.

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers of Supernatural 11x04

But let's get on topic. So every night, my fiance picks out an episode we watch for dinner. On Monday that's mostly The Simpsons, on Tuesday The Big Bang Theory, on Wednesday Gotham, on Thursday Supernatural, on Friday The Originals, and in the weekend  depends on what we have left from the week and otherwise it's from an older series we are rewatching. At the  moment that is Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

So but we're Thursday. We are all set with our food in front of the TV and I press play. The beginning of the episode feels like a commercial for Impala to me. I'm like "What a weird episode start." But somehow that gets us more intrigued.

Supernatural 11x04 - A bloody knife

Then the next thing we see is The impala in blood, Dean cuffed in the backseat seemingly unconscious and a bloody knife. My fiance says "Oi, well that doesn't look good." And he asks me "Is this a finale episode or something? That can't be possible right?" This is definitely not a season ending, but it does give a bit of a strange vibe, right of the bat.

And then immediately we get to see the guys washing the car, euhm confusion much? This whole episode has a strange vibe. But the further we advance in the story the more I start to like it. To us this feels more like in the begin years. What is good, because In my opinion the series was at its best before the whole angel crap. No offense to Castiel (played by Misha Collins) because Supernatural wouldn't be the same without him, but the rest of the angel stuff was never as good as they thought.

Supernatural 11x04 - The Winchesters meeting with the policeman

So after Sam hooking up and Dean partying all night, they meet up with a policeman, and I immediately say "He's going to be the werewolf/vampire, you'll see" Hahaha I called it! That was so obvious! And I had such a laugh when the head got cut off and it was still alive.
So apparently these were some kind of ghoul creatures that you can only kill by reminding them they are dead. And you do that by putting a penny in their mouth and then chopping of their head.
And if you get the leader, well then the others turn back to normal.

Supernatural 11x04 - First time the leaders head got cut off.

What I find strange is, they had to die in order to become a ghoul, but after Dean cured the pack, they were all alive and well like nothing had happened? How does that work?
All in all a good episode though. And yes The Darkness is Coming! Sounds a bit like "Winter is coming" no?

Well that was it. Have a nice Halloween weekend peeps

Grey's Anatomy

Last week I said that it was time to forgive Shonda Rhimes. Now I ask you: "Can I take it back?" I still think that she is trying to make up for what happened last year. And last weeks episode really had the feels, I was going to write about it, but then something happened here, and I didn't get the chance too, and afterwards well the feels were gone, so I didn't want to bring it back up.

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers of Grey's Anatomy 12x05

Somehow I must have repressed the scene last week where Penelope Blake (played by Samantha Sloyan) got introduced as Callie's new girlfriend. When I started this episode and they started with showing the end of last week, the only emotion I had was anger. I was upset, maybe I'm still a little upset.

Grey's Anatomy 12x05 - Meet Penny

Last year she failed to safe mc dreamy :'(, of course I know why, but still, it hurts, and the whole episode I waited for Meredith (played by Ellen Pompeo) to explode. Instead it was Amelia (played by Caterina Scorsone) who eventually ended up exploding.

Grey's Anatomy 12x05 - Amelia finds out Penny was the surgeon who didn't save Derek

This was not an episode like any other. This was a heartbreaking episode, where a lot of people got crushed. And when I heard that Penny was going to become a new resident I became even more angry, this time I didn't feel Amelia's or Merediths anger. This time it was my own. I'm angry at Shonda Rhimes.

And this is what I would like to say:

Dear Mrs Rhimes,
Why do you do this to your fans? Even though we were angry at you for what you pulled last year, we stuck it out, because we don't want to abandon the other actors, they didn't have to pay for your foolishness. But how the hell did you decide to add Penny to the cast?  What did you think? Hey lets torture the fans a bit, by making them relive that horrible death of their favorite character? Because that is what you did with this episode. Maybe you tried to make up for the horrible written scenario last year. Well I am sorry, but you failed.
Please Mrs Rhimes, you said you'd bring the series back to season 1, so far I haven't noticed this at all. We are counting on you to try harder. Don't screw over a series that is running for 12 seasons.

From A dedicated Fan
Kate

Much more didn't happen. Except that I saw a glimmer of light for Jackson (played by Jesse Williams) and April (played by Sarah Drew) I might be mistaken, but the way they were talking and the way he was concerned about her during Dishes, somehow gave me the feeling that they might get back together. What I really really hope. We need some good news in this series.

Grey's Anatomy 12x05 - Doing Dishes
That is it for today. I'm going to go play some Guildwars 2: Heart of Thorns now, to relax and try to forget this tragedy. See you next time!

The Flash

So, for the past few days workers from the green department have been working outside my building, making that I cannot sleep during long enough in the morning. So this past morning to pass the time, because I was to tired to do anything else, I binge watched way to many series to be good :p But oh well. And from all of those I picked The Flash to discuss today.
I know I had said that I was going to write every day, but blame Hollywood, they just don't bring out enough good episodes I can be passionate about. Lately most series have been so so, with a few outstanding exceptions. The Flash 2x03 was one of those.

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers from The Flash 2x03

Last nights episode starts off with a boom, a lot of action, Iris West (played by Candice Patton) is in a tight spot and almost gets killed, but still somehow managed to call Barry Allen aka The Flash (played by Grant Gustin) who then of course like every white knight, comes to her rescue.
Good opener.

The Flash 2x03 - Iris calling Barry for help

What also made it score points Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold (played by Wentworth Miller) was back. And I have to admit, I have been a fan, ever since Prison Break. Oooh do I wish you liked girls... But trailing off... So he was back, just like his sister. Cisco (played by Carlos valdes) his heart was probably making salto's inside.
Plot of the story, Daddy Captain Cold (played by Michael Ironside) likes to put bombs in peoples heads. Puts one in his own daughter - seriously how sick do you have to be to do that, probably didn't like the fact she was a girl - and then forced his son to work with him, or he'd activate the bomb, which meant that her head would go kabloomi. So not good. Captain Cold does what he says and even gets help from Barry. While the others try to safe Lisa Snart (played by Peyton List)
Ofcourse at the end of the day, this is still The Flash and not Arrow , all ends well, Lisa gets saved, Leonard goes to prison, and Daddy cold dies.
And all is back to normal, well, until next week.

The Flash 2x03 - Captain Cold freezing The Flash

But all this gets broken through abit with some serious tear jerking scenes between Iris and her father (played by Jesse L Martin). Apparently Joe has been lying for several years to his daughter about her mom. Making her believe that she was dead.
Joe is very afraid that he'll loose Iris and asks Barry for advice. Barry tells him to just come clean, what is in my opinion always the best option, no matter how hard it hurts, the truth will always prevail. And that is what happened here. Joe eventually pulled all his courage together and told Iris, while completely breaking down. But instead of loosing her, she embraced him. It was the most touching moment of the whole episode.

The Flash 2x03 - Iris embracing Joe

And then there was the tears between the universes. I have said it before, I am not a fan of that new storyline. At least I wasn't. But now my curiosity got peaked. Dr. Wells (played by Tom Cavanagh) is back!
And before I forget, what is going on with the good Dr. Martin Stein (played by Victor Garber) will he become a new Firestorm?

The Flash 2x03 - Dr Wells returns

Castle

I admit, I'm a fan of Nathan Fillion. Of course I've never met him in real life, and I probably never will, but whenever I see him, is it in Castle, or Firefly, or in a random interview, there is always somewhat of a warm personality that flows through it. I doubt that is something you can fake. So until proven otherwise, in my head Nathan Fillion is a nice, bit of a man-child man.

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers of Castle 8x05

I picked today's episode to write about because I can relate to the eyewitness. Luckily for me my smell isn't as advanced as hers. But advanced enough to smell a fire 3 km away or to smell the exact spot of cat/dog pee on a dark carpet. And believe me when I say, for me it is already a curse. No one can enter my house if they are wearing perfume. People who know me, avoid wearing perfume around me. Even when they put it on in the morning and I only see them 7 hours later. I get migraines.
I can imagine that for a lot of people today's episode was bullshit. That it'll be hard to understand that you really can pick someone out of a line up just by smelling them. But it can be done.

Castle 8x05 - sniffing the lineup

Now that you know that this really can be, you might be wondering what was up with that nosering. In the beginning I was wondering as well why that was, and if I recall right, they never really explained the use of the nosering, they just zoomed in on it a few times, making her look even more weird. Well, ladies and gentlemen, the reason is simple. Whenever I go somewhere, I always carry a scarf with me, if it smells, I can simply put it on, put a layer over my nose and breath through that. Like that, the smells get pushed back and the smell of my scarf is what I'll smell most. That is exactly what that nosering is. By putting that nosering in, she always will smell the metal of the ring first. What makes that even though she can still smell very well, the metal numbs it a bit.
There is a particular scene, when she takes of her nosering in order to smell the people in the lineup when you see her getting overwhelmed  by all the horrible smells in the room. A cacophony of smells.

Ok enough about smells and noserings, lets move on.
A few weeks ago I read an interview with one of the producers from Castle that said that breaking up Beckett and Castle was the best option for keeping the storyline fresh.
I would agree to that if we would see what Beckett is actually doing now that she left Castle, because she didn't leave him because she didn't love him anymore, she left him because she is on a mission and doesn't want to endanger him. So I was looking forward to see more solo Beckett action this season, but instead Beckett was put more to the background while Castle gets more solo action alongside Esposito and Ryan.

I don't know about you but either show more Beckett solo or just bring them back together already. This is torture for Castle and it's not fair.

What do you think Castlefans? Leave a message after the beep... Tuuuuuuuuuuuut

Scandal

Hi, I'm back. The last few days I've been a bit absent because I have been sick. Although I did try to do an effort yesterday by writing my review on Warehouse 13. And today I was originally planning to write about The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, because that was my most popular topic last week. And the episodes of this week weren't bad at all. There was just not much new under the sun.
Ofcourse I can just rehash what happens in an episode. But I prefer to give my opinion as some of you might already know.

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers of Scandal 5x04

But then I watched last nights episode of Scandal. And what a treat it was. It feels to me that Shonda Rhimes knows she has to make up for what she did last year with Grey's anatomy. After she kicked out Patrick Dempsey and wrote the most horrible ending to his story line, Grey's Anatomy took a big hit from the fans. A lot of them took it personal, and didn't only abandon GA but also the other series she produced.

Scandal 5x04: Olivia Pope hurt by the many things people say about her.

And that is why it feels to me like she knows that she had to make it up to us, the fans. Because let's face it, if we all stopped watching, she'd be out of a job. The actors would find other work, but we didn't riot against the series we rioted against her. Whether or not she was right to fire Patrick Dempsey I'll leave in the middle.

But made up she has. Wauw, it was only last year I discovered Scandal, and I binge watched it, just like I do with all new series I discover if they already have seasons out. I try to stay up to date, but I'm only human :p
The beginning of Scandal was good, but throughout the seasons it felt to me like it was more and more directed on the horrors of B316 and less on what the series was actually all about.
I remember that last year, there was a new series coming out, that sadly already had to bite the dust, called Crisis and that I said to my fiance that they could have easily switched the titles of those 2 series. Scandal didn't go that much about scandals anymore.

Until now. I'm loving the whole dynamic. And the fact that the president (played by Tony Goldwyn) is following his heart, even know it can cost his carreer. He wants to be a good president, he doesn't want to be blackmailed because he is following his heart. And he acts on it. Instead of doing what most would do, because carreers often come before matters of the heart, he just gives them the middle finger big time and does what he does best. Loving Olivia Pope (played by Kerry Washington).

Scandal 5x04 - President Grant taking Olivia Pope on a date

Also there is the delicate issue of #BlackLivesMatter and that woman are still seen as lesser beings. And if you're a woman that was born black, well, then you don't have to prove yourself double, you have to prove yourself 10 times as hard. With this series Shonda is able to show the world what people really think. Because even though this is a fictional series. It couldn't be closer to the truth than reality itself.

Scandal 5x04 - TVshow on "On The Hunt" to crucify Olivia Pope

This whole new season is blowing me away, and I can only say to the people who stopped watching, come back, it's time to forgive Shonda Rhimes and enjoy the marvelous storylines she has for us in store.
We'll get to see if Melly (played by Bellamy Young) really is the harpy she knows the world sees her as. we are shown that even though you do/experience such horrible things like Huck (played by Guillermo DĂaz) if you really want to get better, and you fight for it, there is light at the end of the tunnel. And you just have to keep going until you get there.
The white hat is still on, and truth will prevail.

The Big Bang Theory

Yesterday I launched a poll on several social media to ask you what I should write about today. The series I gave were Blindspot, Castle, Gotham, Minority Report, Scorpion or The Big Bang theory.
The Big Bang Theory came out as winner.
I was happy with the choice, because of all the series in the list, TBBT is one of my most favorite series.

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers of The Big Bang Theory 9x04

Normally we always watch TBBT during dinner, but because I wanted to watch it so I could write about it, I convinced my fiance to watch it while he was preparing for his stream.
I was very excited in the beginning when Leonard (played by Johnny Galecki) and Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco) finally manned up to Sheldon (played by Jim Parsons) and told him now that they are married they'll move in together in Penny's apartment. Well,... Penny manned up >< Leonard just hid behind Penny, like always.

The Big Bang Theory 9x04 - explaining Sheldon Leonard is moving out.
But even though the episode had a good start, it wasn't one of their better episodes. Most episodes you just can't take a breath because you're laughing so hard. But today's episode was meh.

Leonard felt guilty of leaving Sheldon, and you saw it coming that he would come back on his word from miles away. And of course Sheldon tried to get Amy (Played by Mayim Bialik) to move in with him. Now this is interesting though if you look at their entire story line that is. Amy tried for ages to get Sheldon that far that she could move in with him. But he never wanted to. Now that she finally broke up with him, he does all the same to her what she did to him.

The Big Bang Theory 9x04 - Sheldon "Interviewing" Amy
My apologies if my text is not so great today. I am very dissapointed in this episode. I had expected more of it.

At the end of it all, nothing changed. In my opinion it would even have been better if Penny and Leonard would have moved into the apartment with Sheldon and gave up Penny's apartment. Sheldon clearly can't stay alone. They changed him so much over the years that it would be wrong to just dump him like that. He might be one of the smartest minds on the planet, but he's clearly autistic. And he should be cared for as such. Moving in completely would make the statement that they are for real in living together, but give enough about Sheldon to not dump him.
But now, nothing changed. They just keep going like it is. Paying rent in 2 places. That's totally not realistic whatsoever.

OK, now that I have this off my chest lets move on to Howard (played by Simon Helberg) and Raj (played by Kunal Nayyar). Filk. Lol that made me facepalm. I had never heard about Filk before now so I googled it. And this is what my friend google told me:
Filk is a musical culture, genre, and community tied to science fiction/fantasy fandom. The genre has been active since the early 1950s, and played primarily since the mid-1970s
So it actually exists. It shouldn't surprise me, because except for the recent non realistic "Lets keep 2 expensive apartments" issue, everything brought on in TBBT has actually been real.
So I dove into this a bit more and I dug up some Filk about Gremlins. What explains the genre in my opnion. You can listen to that (or not) below.

 Gremlins - Leslie Fish

And this is why the episode still deserves a 7, because I actually learned something new today.

For the rest. Oh my god, we did get to see Raj's girlfriend Emily (played by Laura Spencer). The other week I actually asked my fiance if I by accident missed somewhere an episode, because we never hear or see Emily. That was with last weeks episode when all the guys were together and the girls were also meeting up. But Emily wasn't there.
Then I remembered that they don't like Emily and neither does she like them. But like this they aren't even trying. Find it kinda weird.
Ofcourse it could be because Laura Spencer plays in a lot of series. Maybe she just doesn't want to commit fully to TBBT. Who knows.

There that was it. Sorry for the bad start and see you tomorrow. Hopefully with better series!

Lost Girl

Anybody who follows Lost Girl will agree that it has been quite the ride. And that the cancellation of the series came as quite the shocker. I honestly had not seen it it coming. Suddenly its Januari 25th 2015 and there are no more episodes on the calendar. And suddenly everywhere on facebook stories about Lost Girl being cancelled appeared.

My Lost Girl heart broke. For a while there I believed that just like in "The 4400" they had decided to cancel the series halfway a season and just stopped filming. Just like that.  And then I saw Tamsin (Played by Rachel Skarsten) pop up in Reign as Queen elizabeth and Lauren (Played by Zoie Palmer) as the android in Dark Matter. So I gave up hope on Lost Girl.
I searched for news on Lost girl, but I only got to read everywhere what I already knew. And then suddenly Lost Girl appeared back on my calendar. Episode 9 would see the light on September 6, 2015. I was so happy.

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers of Lost Girl 5x09 - 5x14

Somehow the series didn't really satisfy me in the beginning of this season 5B. Well actually I do know what was missing, just like it was missing in the first part of the season. Kenzi (Played by Ksenia Solo) was missing. Even though Bo (Played by Anna Silk) is the heart of the series, Kenzi is the soul. And when there is no soul in a series, you will notice it.
The dynamic between those two felt so good and natural. I loved to see them together even though they'd never form a couple. Their bond was a sister bond. not a lovers.

So I missed Kenzi, but I've been with Lost Girl since day 1, so no freaking way that I'd give up now in the last few meters of the marathon.
It became a bit better when we found out that Lauren became a conduit for Fae powers. She had always been my least favorite character. A bit of a whiny girl if you ask me. While I totally love her in Dark Matter.  But that's for a different day.
Lauren got hit by a car, and was able to heal herself by tapping into Bo's powers. That moment janked me back into the series.

From then on it only got better. until the tragic moment where Trick (played by Richard Howland) and Aife (played by Inga Cadranel) -which I honestly always expected to be written as Epha -  were displayed as a macabre familyportrait by Jack (played by Eric Roberts)
At this point we already are at the end of  5x13.

Lost Girl 5x13 - Family Portrait

I must say I was shocked when I saw that. Throughout the years I've seen a lot of violence in series, and often meant to shock. But I had never seen something like this in Lost Girl. I just had not expected this whatsoever. That macabre display, I ask you, was that really necessary?
Bo finds them and they end the episode with her sitting in some kind of trance next to them.

When this episode started, the first thing that I said was: "What? Is this going to be a Wizard of Oz inspired episode. I don't know why, but Bo looked like a red version of Dorothy. But then she said that she woke up as Lucy (from I love Lucy) I was like, ok sure, still makes me think more of Dorothy.

Lost Girl 5x14 - Bo thinks she woke up as Lucy

Funny thing, I was right. Then she met Tamsin, who you can translate to Tin Man. Dyson as the cowardly lion, and Lauren aka Lola as the scarecrow. And while everyone expected Jack or Trick to be the wizard. It ended up being herself.
The whole thing with Kenzi though, I still do not really understand. So maybe one of you can explain it to me?

While she was in her coma, the others looked for a way to get her out of that. Even Kenzi came back, although she didn't know she was lured by Jack. I wonder why that is.

Lost Girl 5x14 - When Bo wakes up

We saw him killing Vex (played by Paul Amos) at the end of the episode to send a message. Made me kinda sad. Vex had come along way and I actually liked his character a lot.  So now I wonder if Jack lured Kenzi here, so he could use her to blackmail Bo to follow him to the dark side.

Lost Girl 5x14 - Jack uses Vex to send a message

So many questions still and only 2 episodes to go. Keep an eye on my blog. I will report back when I have more news. Plus ofcourse I well talk to you once a day about some series. If you want me to discuss a certain series, leave me a message.

Gotham

Sunday. Another week past. Even though Gotham was in the beginning of the week, I would still want to write the review today. Gotham isn't a series I can just watch on the day itself, it's a series my fiance is interested in, which means I can only watch it when he has time to watch it. And since he's a workaholic that works almost 24/7 on his games it happens that sometimes the series pile up. Like Gotham in this case.
Eventually Friday he made time and we watched Gotham 2x02 and 2x03.

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers from Gotham 2x02 and 2x03

Last season when Gotham came out I wasn't such a fan. We watched it every week because my fiance was sold from the first second. Eventually I stopped paying attention. Until the last 2 episodes. Somehow the story became more interesting then, in my opinion.
I was a bit skeptical after the first episode of the new season but then I watched episode 2 and 3 and I can only say "Wauw" seriously. It's so dark that it makes you uncomfortable that you're laughing and enjoying he episodes.

There is the moment when Jerome (played by Cameron Monaghan) drenches a schoolbus with teenager into benzine. All I could see was how fun it must be to play that role and stand there with that hose and splash the benzine on everyone.

Gotham 2x02 - Jerome dosing the bus with benzine

And then his plan fails so he decides to attack the police station instead. Barbara Kean (played by Erin Richards) lures detective Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie) away. That's the moment by the way that you can see that she'll become Harley Quinn.

Gotham 2x02 - Barbara Kean after kissing a bloody James Gordon

Or at least that is what I think. I was convinced that Jerome becomes The Joker, but then he died.
But back to the police station. The whole scene is so cruel and wrong, but you can't help hiding a smirk because of his laugh.

Gotham 2x02 - Jerome in the police station

I tip my hat to the actingjob of Cameron Monaghan. He putted the role down perfectly. He would have been the perfect Joker. He even made me forget for a second that there was penguin in the series.
The entire two episodes the only reason why I was looking was because of him. Excellently done. And we hope to see more of you one way or the other.
Somehow I'm still expecting that Theo Galavan (Played by James Frain) will use his weird powers that I haven't been able to place yet to resurrect Jerome. And who knows maybe Jerome will be The Joker after all.
If that is the case. I called it first! :D

Gotham 2x03 - Jerome and Barbara Kean planning to kill Bruce Wayne

I could talk hours about this episode. But my arms are already hurting from typing so, I'll see you tomorrow with a new story.

Reign

There is so much I can write about today. Last night I watched Gotham episode 2x02 and 2x03 which I would love to write about. Then there is the sneak peek into Season 6B of Pretty Little Liars. And last nights season premiere of Reign.
But I have a migraine, so I'll have to choose just one topic :(

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers from Reign 3x01

Since I had already planned to write about Reign today and had said that publicly and I am not one for coming back on my word. (Not even with a migraine.)

Reign 3x01 - Queen Mary and King Francis before the the illness news

So, Reign. Throughout the past two seasons they have made Queen Elizabeth (played by Rachel Skarsten) out to be a total lunatic bitch. And when they introduced her on the screen in the last episode you really had that feeling that she was a lunatic.
But now, it felt to me that she was a frail little girl that was very impressionable, not by far the Queen Elizabeth I had expected. I was a bit disappointed in that.

Reign 3x01 - Queens Elizabeth and Katherine

Luckely they made up for that in plenty by introducing the privateer Martin de Lambert (played by Saamer Usmani. He is a very handsome man, that knows that very well, and feels like he's equal to the royals. He moves easily around in court and charms Greer very easy.
He comes to court because the royals ask him to steal 2 million so they can keep funding the war with England. For this he asks several rewards, one of them, the hand of Madam Greer.
He totally plays her so he can have her in his bed, but then tells her he actually chose another. Which according to Lola is a total lie.

The whole thing with Martin de Lambert made the episode a bit more airy. Because the news that King Francis is ill and has no prospect of surviving made the first episode quite gloomy.

This wasn't a great season premiere I must say. It was a bit boring.  Except for the pirate and then in the end when they captured Queen Katherine and locked her in a cage next to the tiger. Oh, that really cracked me up. She finally is getting what she deserves, that traitorous snake. Tigermeal ;)

That was it. There is not much to write about this episode. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll write all I wanted to tell you about Gotham then. Definitely come and check because I am looking forward to share my thoughts with you.
Now I'm gonna go rest some more so my migraine might be gone by tomorrow.

The Originals & The Vampire Diaries

I have just one word for the season premieres of The Originals and The Vampire Diaries and that's "Waauw!"

**CAUTION** SPOILER ALERT This entry contains spoilers from The Originals 3x01 and The Vampire Diaries 7x01.

The first thing I did this morning when I got up was watching The Vampire Diaries. Exactly a week ago I finished the rerun of the previous six seasons and I was eager to see how the series would evolve without Nina Dobrev in the mix.
When the news hit that Nina had decided to quit TVD a lot of fans swore that they would quit watching, even though unlike in Grey's anatomy, it was Nina Dobrevs personal choice to leave. You can't force someone to do something they don't want people!
And sadly enough it seems that the (ex-)fans kept their word. The Vampire Diaries came in a lot lower than last year. (source: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/10/09/tv-ratings-thursday-oct-8-2015/477283/) And at the same time they seem to have punished The Originals too.

I can only say one thing to those people: "Your loss". Both premieres were just epic.
The Vampire Diaries started off with somewhat of a tribute to both Elena as to the original concept of the serie, people writing in their diary. Because lets face it, in the last 2 seasons, they didn't write much in their diaries anymore. Both Caroline and Bonnie are keeping their promise and are writing their experiences down in a diary.

In the beginning all seems fine until shit hits the fan and our dear vampires have no other choice than to evacuate their beloved Mystic Falls. The Heretics can't be controlled, so they decide to control the foodsupply of the heretics instead. Mystic Falls becomes a warzone.
The episode ends with a timejump of 3 years and someone is hunting the Salvatore brothers. By the way, what the hell was that with Damon being in a coffin? Did he think he could just sleep for 60'sh years?

I am very curious to the next episode. I think Nina was right, her story came to an end. Last 2 seasons had been a bit of drag. Sorry Nina fans. And now the serie can breath again, move into a new direction. The relationship between Stephan and Caroline can finally happen and the friendship that we saw hatching last season between Bonnie and Damon can now flourish.
I am certain that fans who abandoned the series will soon come to their senses and see that The Vampire Diaries is full of life still!

Now The Originals. I loved how they showed us more of the entire Original Family. Because let's face it, that's why we watch right? We cried when Claire Holt decided to leave the series, but lucky for us, she hasn't fully given up on the series. When we first heard the news, I thought that they might eventually scrub her character, but she is still Rebekkah when the story needs her.

I watched this episode together with my fiancĂ©, and when they showed us when the family meets the Count we both said: "Make a series of this!" and then started laughing. Seems we both love the old days Mikaelson Family. Haha Although watching Joseph Morgan with a bad wig all the time. I think the series would turn into a comedy. The whole etire was a bit fail. But I loved every single second of it.

The Originals - The Mikaelsons 1002 AD

It was a huge contrast to when Elijah found those wolf hunters. The whole episode I feared that they had written Phoebe Tonkin out of the series. Even though I had seen her name in the begin credits. But in the end I was happy to see she was still alive. The question is now, will Devina find a cure for Hailey if Hailey scares the witches. Because that is what I assume will happen next.

There is also a huge spoiler in this whole universe. We know that the TVD vampires are still alive in 3 years and we also know that what happens in one series effects the other. Remember The Other Side? So when that witch fortells that by the end of the year all Mikaelsons will be dead. We know that it cannot be. Sorry if I just bursted your bubble. But the moment she said that I immediately remembered the "3 years later"

And then there is the pointing to a new evil in town. I am so looking forward to that.
Both series had a good start and they got me hooked for another season.

Thank you for visiting today, see you back tomorrow for more Series news.
